City of Philadelphia Launches 2025 Summer Citywide Cleaning Initiative

With warmer weather drawing more residents outdoors, the City of Philadelphia has officially launched its 2025 Summer “One Philly, United City” Citywide Cleaning Program. This seasonal initiative continues Mayor Cherelle Parker’s commitment to making Philadelphia the safest, cleanest, and greenest large city in the United States.

The program will mobilize city departments and community partners to focus on cleaning and beautifying public spaces throughout the summer months. From litter removal to sidewalk sweeping and park maintenance, the initiative aims to enhance the quality of life across all neighborhoods.

“Cleaner streets and public spaces make everyone feel safer and more connected to their community,” said Mayor Parker. “We’re proud to bring One Philly, United City back this summer and continue the work of restoring pride in our city.”

Residents are encouraged to participate through neighborhood cleanups and community-led events in collaboration with the city.
